The Edelweiss Alpine hut is located right by the road leading to the Passo del Giovo at 2,094 m above sea level, from where you can enjoy exhilarating all-round views. To the north there is Vipiteno and the sight of the Alta Isarco and Val d’Isarco; and to the south the view takes in San Leonardo facing Merano as well as the beautiful countryside of the Val Passiria. The hut has proved extremely popular among motorbiking enthusiasts, cyclists, mountain bikers and groups as a pleasant place to stop off and enjoy coffee and cakes. Ramblers, too, are delighted to use this perfect location in the middle of the hiking area as a starting point for a wide choice of hikes and mountain tours. 

 

In addition to home made cakes, flans and strudel we also serve up little snacks such as goulash soup, sausages with mustard and ketchup, sandwiches, traditional meat rolls and cured South Tyrolean bacon.

 

The hut can also be used in the evenings for little private functions such as birthday or special anniversary celebrations. We’d be more than happy to arrange the right musical entertainment.
